The American Museum

The American Museum takes you on a journey through the early history of America, from its first settlers to the 20th century. With its extensive collection of folk and decorative arts it's the only museum of its kind outside the United States.

The American Museum has a textile room, a map room, an American Heritage exhibition, high quality event caterers, grounds and walks, museum tours, provision for group and education visits, a library (viewing by appointment), free parking, a picnic area, a café, a free audio tour, gift shops (Country Store, Gallery Shop, and Herb Shop). There is good disabled access and lift access to all floors.

Situated in Bath, in Somerset, there are also special annual exhibitions, including traditional American music concerts, children's activities, courses and living history events.
