American Museum, Bath

The American Museum in Britain takes you on a journey through the history of America, from its early settlers to the 20th century.  With its extensive collection of folk and decorative arts, it's the only museum of Americana outside the United States.

The American Museum has all the facilities you would expect from a high-quality museum: permanent displays of the museum collection in a series of period rooms, Textile Room, Map Room, American Heritage Exhibition, special annual exhibition, grounds and walks, museum tours, provision for group and education visits, library (by appointment), free parking picnic area, café, free audio tour, gift shops (Country Store, Gallery Shop, and Herb Shop). It has good disabled access and lift access to all floors.

Throughout the season there is a range of exciting events, including traditional American music concerts, kids activities, courses and living history events.
